INTERNORGA 2026: A brief overview of this year trade fair

Once again, INTERNORGA demonstrated why it is regarded as one of the key driving forces in the hospitality and foodservice industry. In 2026, Hamburg once more became the central meeting point for the sector: around 1,200 exhibitors and approximately 85,000 trade visitors came together to exchange ideas, discover innovations, and gain new inspiration.
The main focus was on topics currently shaping the industry: digitalization, artificial intelligence, sustainability, and the latest food and beverage trends. Many solutions aimed to make day-to-day operations more efficient and further improve guest experiences. The event was complemented by a diverse supporting program featuring competitions, presentations, and trend formats such as the Newcomer Area and Future Food.

Five days of exchange, ideas sharing, and real connections

Five intense days at the trade fair are behind us—and what can we say: INTERNORGA 2026 as in previous years, was again a real highlight of the year for us. Expectations were high going in, and looking back, we can confidently say they were not only met but in many ways exceeded.

One booth, many solutions – and a concept that worked

We were especially pleased with how well our booth concept worked out. Together with our co-exhibitor Martin Becker GmbH and several partner companies, we were able to present a comprehensive, well-rounded portfolio. From Oracle hotel software and our unTill POS solutions with kitchen monitor and web management, to merchandise management systems like Signum.Orgasoft —we didn’t just showcase individual tools, but an integrated ecosystem of solutions. This was further enhanced by exciting innovations such as straiv’s digital guest journey solution and the intelligent pricing tools from happyhotel. And it resonated: our schedule was fully booked, visitors were highly motivated, and conversations took place on equal footing. Exactly how a trade fair should be.

Topics That Matter to the Industry

Our discussions clearly highlighted the topics currently shaping the priorities of hospitality professionals:

  • e-invoicing
  • the shift from on-premise systems to cloud solutions
  • strong interest in technological innovations

This includes solutions like online check-in, automated price optimization, and seamlessly connected systems. The demand for integrated, end-to-end processes was clearly noticeable.

In High Demand: Connected systems

A real highlight at our booth was the presentation of OHIP, the seamless integration between unTill Prime and Oracle Opera Cloud. This is particularly relevant for hotel chains, as it allows processes to be managed much more efficiently and centrally. The strong interest and in-depth discussions underscored how important open and integrable systems have become.

Where is the industry heading?

One clear trend we’re seeing: mobility and flexibility are becoming paramount

  • Booking and ordering via handheld devices should now become a standard
  • The same applies to payments via mobile devices

Digital solutions today must not only work—they need to be simple, fast, and available anywhere.

Industry challenges – and how technology can help

A key issue that came up repeatedly in conversations is the shortage of staff, often combined with a higher proportion of untrained workers. This is where modern technology comes in: systems need to be intuitive and easy to use, enabling new staff to get started quickly. Complex software simply has no place in the fast-paced hospitality environment.

INTERNORGA as an industry meeting point

For us, INTERNORGA remains one of the most important dates of the year. Digital channels are important - but nothing replaces personal interaction. The direct exchange with customers, partners, and other exhibitors is invaluable. At the same time, it’s incredibly convenient for our customers to explore multiple topics in one place - exactly what we were able to offer at our booth.

Encounters that stay with you

What stands out most is the consistently positive atmosphere. Many hospitality professionals are becoming increasingly attracted to digital solutions, recognizing their benefits. At the same time, INTERNORGA feels a bit like a big family reunion every year—you meet familiar faces, make new connections, and strengthen long-standing relationships. If we had to describe the trade fair in three words: Meeting point. Diverse. Solution-oriented.

INTERNORGA 2026 was a great success for us—both professionally and personally. A big thank you also goes out to our entire trade fair team, who gave their all every single day!
The next event is already scheduled: March 12–16, 2027 - and we will definitely be there again.
