The takeover of RIMOWA by the LVMH Group intended to harmonize the POS systems in the whole Group.
Thus, it was decided to introduce the POS system Cegid Retail Y2. Nevertheless, it was important to preserve the special features of RIMOWA, its various locations (over 10 countries) and the DNA of the brand.
The goal was to implement a lean and efficient project. Furthermore, all legal and fiscal requirements had to be fulfilled in all countries.
A core product was defined containing basic functionalities for all countries.
In Cegid Retail Y2, individual processes can be set up for each country, thus reflecting the linguistic and functional characteristics of each location. Cegid Retail Y2 offers features for over 67 countries that meet the legal requirements and are constantly updated.
The simple installation of the POS solutions (only one client is installed and fetches all data itself) allowed remote rollouts in Singapore or Macau. Detailed documentation using job cards provided considerable support for the training courses prior to the installation.
