Three days, countless impulses, valuable contacts
What we take with us from EuroCIS 2025
EuroCIS was once again for us an important industry event of the year. The trade fair provided this time also the ideal platform for presenting our solutions, cultivating existing contacts and establishing new business relationships.
Two strong presences at EuroCIS
For the first time in 2025, we had two stands. Together with Cegid, we presented the retail solution Cegid Retail Y2 , including the new, modern checkout front end Live Store, the task management and communication tool Store Excellence and, of course, the Global Cloud on a modern and redesigned stand. With over 90,000 stores in more than 90 countries - 75 of which with localised fiscalisation integration provided by Cegid - the company is one of the leading international providers of POS solutions for specialist retailers. The aim of our joint presence at the fair was to make the Cegid brand better known in Germany. While large retail chains already use the software, the brand itself often remains unnoticed. We want to better this trend.
We also exhibited with Partner Tech, our long-standing hardware partner, where we showcased our Dynamics 365 F&O-BC as an ERP with an integrated POS system - as well as our own POS system POSsible, developed as a pure POS front end solution.

Reta Award 2025
A special highlight of the fair was Cegid's award at the Reta Awards 2025. The EHI Retail Institute honoured Cegid as Top Supplier Retail 2025 in the category 'Customer Experience' for the successful technology project at fashion company GANT. The award-winning solution, which is in use at GANT, impressively demonstrates how innovative technologies can optimise the retail business.
The official award ceremony took place on the first evening of the trade fair as part of a festive event - the certificate was personally handed over by the EHI team on the following day directly at our trade fair stand.

EuroCIS 2025 - Facts and Figures
EuroCIS 2025 once again confirmed its relevance as the leading trade fair for retail technology. The growth in visitor and exhibitor numbers speak for themselves:
- 500 international exhibitors (2024: 475) from 37 countries
- More than 14,000 trade visitors (2024: 13,500)
- 50% international participation
- Largest EuroCIS since the trade fair was founded
Industry meeting place with vision
EuroCIS is a highlight of the industry every year because it is where retailers, service providers and technology suppliers meet to discuss the latest developments. It's not just about individual products, it's about getting a feel for market trends and future requirements,' says our Managing Director Konstantin Gergianakis. At the same time, we see a new generation growing up. There is a lot of movement in the industry.
As a medium-sized supplier of POS systems, we play a special role in the market. This is exactly what our customers appreciate: flexibility, experience and practical solutions for complex and often international projects. The discussions and exchanges we had at the fair confirmed once again that it is precisely medium-sized companies that are chosen - because they offer pragmatic solutions, remove obstacles and actively contribute to success.
Technology trends: hype or real innovation?
Many of the 'new' trends are not new to us. Artificial intelligence, seamless checkout and omnichannel strategies have been in the industry for years. It remains to be seen whether IT-based cashless systems will become financially viable. The goal of replacing checkout staff requires not only software and hardware, but also a better retail IT expertise. Will it pay off? I'm sceptical. As long as the systems don't run completely autonomously and error-free, there is always a residual risk," says Mario Barac.
That is why we are sticking to our philosophy: First create a working, flexible checkout solution - then integrating innovative technologies such as AI or self-checkout can be transitioned in a meaningful way. With three checkout systems in our portfolio, we are ideally positioned to deliver large, international projects. We are making targeted investments in interfaces, optimisations and new features to support retailers and ultimately their customers in the best possible way.
Conclusion & Outlook
Three days of inspiration, discussion and technological innovation are now behind us. We can look back on a positive outcome and take with us many new ideas. The next EuroCIS will take place as part of EuroShop from 22 - 26 February 2026 in Düsseldorf - we are already looking forward to it!
