Challenge
The sportswear label KJUS is currently active in three countries with different store types. There are different fiscal requirements in all countries. A new POS system not only had to be able to take these into account, but communication with the existing ERP system also has to work. Because just as sales figures are sent to the ERP, master data is also updated daily from the ERP and given to the POS.
At the same time, KJUS was looking to the future, as further store openings are planned. Here, the international orientation of the POS system is crucial. The goal for KJUS was to implement a system with many functionalities already included in the standard, which would also enable future roll-outs to be carried out with as little effort as possible.
Solution
The Cegid Retail Y2 POS system could be set up for all three countries in line with fiscal requirements. Both interfaces on flat file format and real-time interfaces on web service technology were created and connected to various systems such as ERP or CRM. Repairs can now also be handled and tracked in one simple process with Cegid. Re-orders of the stores are done automatically - based on the minimum and maximum stock and also with the factor of the last sales.
The project was carried out using the classic waterfall methodology with agile elements, so that we could repeatedly demonstrate the individual project steps to the client and implement adjustments immediately. The project was carried out completely online due to the pandemic.
